Twisted Fork: Dine Out

by tanyacolaco

It was that time of year again– Dine Out! My inner foodie was craving so desperately for a tasty treat, and I found myself scrolling through the impressive list of restaurants to see what they had to offer for the annual food festival. Most of all menus were great, but for some reason, the menu that Twisted Fork had to offer had me intrigued.

I had never been there before, and I was looking for something new to try out, so I dragged Perry along with me. We chose a Thursday night to drop by, which was a great decision because Dine Out can get pretty crazy (I know, because I work for a restaurant, haha). I thoroughly enjoyed the setting. It was cozy and romantic, which is always lovely when you want to spend some time with someone special.

As always, deciding what to eat was a challenge. I believe I am one of those annoying, indecisive people that everyone loves to hate. However, I finally settled for the Gruyere and Caramelized Onion Tart as my starter, the Herb and Brie Stuffed Chicken Breast as my entree, and finally (the most difficult decision, I would say) the Caramel Mousse as my dessert.

Needless to say, I enjoyed my meal overall! The Onion Tart was something very different, and VERY delicious (I’m starting to crave some right now…). I have to say, I was slightly disappointed with the chicken. While it was cooked superbly, the stuffing was barely noticeable, and to be honest, I forgot that it was supposed to be stuffed chicken altogether. However, it was still rather delicious, so they get points for that. Lastly, the Caramel Mousse was pretty damn good. They served it with maple ice-cream, and fresh raspberries, which I really enjoyed because of the tart and sweet combo.

The Verdict?

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Twisted Fork, and I certainly would like to try it out once more!

Thanks for reading everyone xoxo
